In the Eye of the Storm mission in Starfield there is a critical item on the ground next to the corpse of Jasper Kryx called the Galbank Transfer Module. This particular piece of equipment is the key that opens Galbank Credtank’s found all over the galaxy in Starfield.
On approaching a Galbank Credtank, placed randomly in the outdoor structures at locations like Abandoned Robotic Factories, you’ll notice they are all lit up like a christmas tree – indicating they are swoll with credits ripe for the taking! You’ll get the prompt to [activate] the credtank, and if you have the aforementioned Galbank Transfer Module it will slide into the slot in the top centre of the tank, and you’ll receive between 4500-5000 credits (I’m level 42 currently and that’s what I received from the last few of these I have found very recently).
Once you’ve opened the credtank and received your credits the lights upon it will de-illuminate, leaving only the Galbank branding still lit up (although not in blue Neon as before opening).
In closing, given that you can find these things everywhere, and you’ve been teased in the mission Eye of the Storm with an entire starship full of credtanks that you weren’t able to steal on the Kryx Legacy before it implodes, it is certainly worth your while to obtain the Galbank Transfer Module and use it to get as many free credits out in the world of Starfield. I reckon I’ve gotten about 50K up until the time of this post.
Sweet! This has been a good find, been wondering how to open these suckas!
That mission is a doozy. It’s actually my favourite part of the game. Glad you found the post helpful ๐
Been tryna comment on this all day. Finna fix it?
Apologies. I got a message that the commenting form needed an update. Should be fixed now.
Cool thx for fix!
Where aare the modules tho? I did that mish and never saw it….
Can you go back?
Hey @reggieleggie I’m not actually sure if you can go back. Sorry *shrug*
Where are these galbank credtanks located. I’m yet to see one even tho I completed the Jasper mission ages ago!!!! Do you have to trigger them somehow or are they rando?
I see them everywhere, but I suspect they are positioned randomly or procedurally generated (like everything in Starfield). Look for clusters of containers. They normally sit in a clear space surrounded by a number of other containers, that’s why they can somehow be a little difficult to spot.
