You’ll encounter Mercer, errrr, Larry Dumbrosky in the Crimson Fleet mission Breaking the Bank; This is an early mission in this faction quest in Starfield, and whilst Larry has a little less hair than Mercer, and a far less gravelly voice, you can tell it is the same voice actor. Larry appears to have gotten himself in hot water by fleecing GalBank for millions of creds along with two accomplices, Klaudia Swist and Gabriel Vera; Who he is also fleecing. You’ll first meet Larry in the Starview Ballroom on the starship, Siren of the Stars, you’ll have a difficult choice to make about whether to allow the GalBank executive Larry Dumbrosky to stay alive, and after your first conversation, this difficulty becomes apparent. Before Starfield: Skyrim’s Mercer Frey is garbed in full thieves guild leather armour at all times and spends most of his time in the Cistern of the thieves guild pouring over plans at the Guildmaster’s Desk. Mercer betrayed the guild before the player character comes into contact with them by killing the previous Guildmaster Gallus, and framing fellow nightingale Karliah for the murder. Mercer employs the player character to assist in obtaining the Eyes of the Falmer – two valuable stones, also known as Eyes of the Snow Elves, which you’ll come across in the mission Blindsighted in Dwemer Ruin Irkngthand. Mercer is also the owner of magical sword Chillrend and perhaps the last surviving bust of the greatest thief in Tamriel, The Grey Fox.
