I signed off the last Google Guide post where we hit the 4 million mark for Google Photo Views with the promise of posting again when the view count hits 5M. But I thought that we needed to explore this very surprising outcome after positing this photo just on 1 week ago. It’s already received 100K views; so let’s do a quickie post to break it down.
Photo – Parkway Parade (102,142 views in 1 week): This is an exterior shot, of the super popular Parkway Parade in Marine Parade, Singapore. It is one of my local malls that I frequent often (currently 4.3 stars after 8,411 reviews). I think this shot works because it’s an exterior shot, with good lighting that showcases a range of clean lines, which capture the maze-like look of the PP building and it also has clear signage. It’s also currently the main shot on the map, which always bumps up the view count till it gets cycled out. Check out the original below.
I have one more post that I want to push out for a very cool indie game I’ve been playing, before I jet off to Tokyo. So look forward to that, whilst we continue to smash out the Google Guide wins!
